2023 I registered as Metabolic Balance Coach. Metabolic Balance is a bespoke programme to help people lose weight and and improve conditions such as diabetes type 2, blood pressure and cholesterol. You will have a blood test covering 36 markers which is done by the The Doctors Lab (TDL) in Wimpole Street London. You can also have the test done local to you and then post it. The results are then added to the Metabolic Balance programme to produce a personalised diet plan for you to follow for 3 months or until you reach your weight goal. The progamme does not require any vitamin supplements. You will receive 7 coaching sessions to help keep you motivated. Please email me for more details. 2019 I received a Special Recognition Award for Services to Nutrition from The GLOBAL WOMEN INVENTOR'S , INNOVATION NETWORK (21ST ANNIVERSARY) I was the resident nutritionist for Champneys Health Resorts for 17 years. I am busy seeing clients in Hitchin at the Health Emporium clinic and give follow up support via zoom or telephone. I work in a large airy room with comfortable office chairs. I request a detailed health questionnaire and food diary , which I discuss in your first appointment. Then follow up appointments are recommended to keep you motivated to reach your health goals. Prices vary according to individual needs. I specialise in digestion problems, skin allergies often linked to histamine intolerance and give support to people for weight management/detoxing. My interest in Nutrition developed from a childhood of eating healthy fresh food on my parent's farm. Since then I have added more variety to my diet i.e. pulses, rice, and nuts while reducing wheat and dairy which has helped me manage my weight. I have had many challenges over the years including supporting World Vision in their 24hr fast in 2003 to helping a cyclist complete the Race Across America (RAAM) 2007. I spent 1 year (2006) writing a health column for "Real People" magazine. I was a regular contributory author for the online health website watchfit.com, for 2 years 2014- 2016. I have had 2 articles published in "The Optimum Nutrition Magazine" on Diet and Memory and Staying healthy in your Golden Years. I regularly work with Health Journalist Karen Evennett to support articles published regularly in Woman's Weekly magazine. Recent articles on lockdown diets and foods to boost energy.
I was awarded a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and Food Science in 1996.
Then in 2000, I was awarded DipION from the Institute of Optimum Nutrition. Celebrating 21 years in 2021!
I am a member of the British Association for Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine (BANT).
I am also registered with the Complementary & Natural Health Council (CNHC).
